On the eve of the inaugural awarding of the Carol Shields Prize for Fiction, Canadian author and historian Charlotte Gray will moderate a lively discussion with the five finalists for the prize. The Carol Shields Prize was created to promote and celebrate women and non-binary writers, and the winner will be receiving a generous award of $150,000.
Finalists for the prize are: Daphne Palasi Andreades, Fatimah Asghar, Talia Lakshmi Kolluri, Suzette Mayr and Alexis Schaitkin.
This is a free event which will take place IN STORE on Wednesday, May 3rd at 6:30pm Central Time. Because space will be limited, registration is required to attend this event.
