Janet Napolitano served as Secretary of Homeland Security from 2009-2013. Before that, she served as the Governor of Arizona, Attorney General of Arizona, and U.S. Attorney for the District of Arizona.
Janet Napolitano discusses her new book, How Safe Are We? Homeland Security Since 9/11. Peppered with stories from her career with reflections on what it means to have a calling in public service, as well as the importance of changing expectations about whether women are “tough enough” to protect the public.

This Salon@615 is a free, ticketed event. Approximately 100 auditorium tickets will be available on-site on the day of the event.
We strongly recommend arriving early for the on-site ticket line. We distribute on-site tickets starting 30 minutes before the event. Once auditorium seats have been filled, guests will be accommodated in alternative viewing locations.
The Main Library Parking Garage is directly under the library. Entrances to the garage are on Sixth and Seventh Avenues between Church and Commerce Streets in downtown. Handicap parking is located on the 4th level of the garage.
