Alternately shadowed and illuminated by nostalgia, this deft, witty volume brings together seventeen of Prunty's recent poems, seven of which have been previously published in Poetry, the Hopkins Review, the Kenyon Review, and Blackbird.Wyatt Prunty is the founding director of the Sewanee Writers’ Conference and holds the Carlton Chair in poetry at Sewanee: the University of the South. He is the author of several collections of poetry, including: The Lover’s Guide to Trapping, Unarmed and Dangerous: New and Selected Poems, Domestic of the Outer Banks, The Times Between, What Women Know, What Men Believe, Balance as Belief, The Run of the House and Since the Noon Mail Stopped.Adam Vines is an assistant professor of English at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he is Director of the Honors English Program, Editor of Birmingham Poetry Review, and Faculty Advisor for the UAB Fishing Team.
