Parnassus Books is thrilled to welcome Ami McConnell, editor of Faithful Daughter, in conversation with Claire Gibson.
Every faithful mom was first a daughter, and the complexities of that relationship influence a woman’s choices and behavior into adulthood, even to future generations. This intimate collection of essays, releasing in time for Mother’s Day, transparently illustrates the shared struggles and joys of daughters everywhere in stories that are sweet, angry, funny, and sad.
As the authors—who include a New York Times bestselling novelist, a Poet Laureate, journalists, a psychologist, professors, a celebrity chef, and popular bloggers—search their relationships with their moms, their heartfelt, sometimes raw remembrances beckon readers to lean in emotionally and consider their own history. The result is a beautifully written book that can be gifted to any daughter longing to understand the inevitable imprint of the woman who gave her life.
