Shona V. Jamadi is a high school language arts teacher at Lakenheath High School, RAF Lakenheath, in the UK. She lives with her husband and two dogs (Mischa and Myiah) in East Anglia, UK in a charming, quaint, and pretty market town. Shona moved to the UK after living for many years in California and Maryland, USA. She taught at a high school in Virginia and before that a middle school in Maryland. Shona Jamadi originally grew up in the UK but has lived in Jamaica, Canada, and the US before returning to the UK to work as a teacher. She has been writing since she was six years old. She has a BA in English, an MS in Education, and she has just completed her MA in Creative Writing. Her future plans include finally beginning a professional writing career. She enjoys writing stories, poems, and plays that are based on her cultural background - an amalgamation of all the places she has lived in. She enjoys writing about family interactions and admires writers such as Toni Morrison, Maya Angelou, Alice Walker, Anita Diamante, Anne Lamott, Ntozake Shange, Colin Channer, and Terry McMillan. At some point she hopes to teach English and Creative Writing at the college or university level in either the USA, the Caribbean, or Africa.
