Eaton (nee Waldie) (1788-1859) was an English travel writer, memoirist and novelist. First published anonymously in 1817, this account of the author's experiences during a family visit to Brussels in June 1815, including a trip to the battlefield of Waterloo, is reprinted from a posthumous edtion of 1888 to which have been added an introduction and notes by Edward Bell.
