On a February evening in 1975, Marcia Trimble was delivering Girl Scout cookies in her neighborhood.
She never returned home.
A month later her body was found.
Jeffrey Womack was a fifteen year old neighbor.
He became the prime suspect in the crime and was the focus of a police investigation which followed him for over thirty years.
In July 2009 Jerome Barrett, a serial rapist and murderer, was convicted of the crime by irrefutable DNA evidence.
This is Jeffrey's story and the account of his lawyer, John Hollins Sr. who was unrelenting in his defense of this wrongly pursued boy.
