Parnassus Books is thrilled to host a celebration of the release of New York Times bestselling YA author Leigh Bardugo's new book, The Language of Thorns in the store on Monday, September 25 at 6:30pm. More details about the event will be revealed as the event date draws near. Be sure to join our mailing list to be the first to know!
This event will be free and open to the public. Seating may be limited, but we will accommodate as many standing-room audience members as possible.
To join the signing line and have any books signed at this event, you must purchase a copy The Language of Thorns from Parnassus Books, either in-store, over the phone, or online (scroll down). The Language of Thorns will be published on Tuesday, September 26, so you will only be able to pick up your book at Parnassus on the day of the event. If you order your book online, please select "in-store pick-up" as your shipping method, so that we will know to hold your book for you in the store. Shipped books will not arrive to you in time for you to bring them to the event.
Your purchase of The Language of Thorns will include a ticket that will admit you into the signing line at the event. By purchasing a book from Parnassus, you are not only supporting a locally owned, independent business, but you are also showing publishers that they should continue sending authors to Parnassus. Think about it this way: You wouldn't bring your own biscuits to the Loveless Cafe, would you?
Can't make it to the event, but still want to purchase an autographed or personalized copy of The Language of Thorns or any of Leigh's other books? Place your order below, enter "signed copy" plus any personalization details in the comments section of your order, and we'll have Leigh sign your books and ship them to you after the event!
Video recording, audio recording, and/or live-streaming during author appearances and signings is not possible without prior written permission from the publisher and Parnassus Books.
More About The Language of Thorns
Love speaks in flowers. Truth requires thorns.
Travel to a world of dark bargains struck by moonlight, of haunted towns and hungry woods, of talking beasts and gingerbread golems, where a young mermaid's voice can summon deadly storms and where a river might do a lovestruck boy's bidding but only for a terrible price. Inspired by myth, fairy tale, and folklore, #1 New York Times-bestselling author Leigh Bardugo has crafted a deliciously atmospheric collection of short stories filled with betrayals, revenge, sacrifice, and love.
Perfect for new readers and dedicated fans, these tales will transport you to lands both familiar and strange--to a fully realized world of dangerous magic that millions have visited through the novels of the Grishaverse. This collection of six stories includes three brand-new tales, all of them lavishly illustrated with art that changes with each turn of the page, culminating in six stunning full-spread illustrations as rich in detail as the stories themselves.
